TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Jill Kelley is suing the government for leaking her name to the media. Her lawyer filed suit in federal court in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday against the FBI and Department of Defense.

The 65-page suit contains a list of grievances, and demands an apology with an unspecified amount of money.

She also released a statement taking aim at the government for failing to protect confidential information from "willful leaks from high level government officials that were false and defamatory."

Kelley was named as the tipster in an FBI investigation that uncovered the affair between General David Petraeus and his biographer Paula Broadwell.
