A woman walking on I-4 was hit by a car and killed, shutting down the interstate for five hours.
It happened at 4:30 a.m. Saturday morning on I-4 just east of U.S. 27.
The Florida Highway Patrol says a driver hit the woman, who was walking in an eastbound lane of the interstate.
The victim has been identified as 51-year-old Cyndi Sernaque.
Troopers say she may have been under the influence of alcohol or prescription drugs.
No charges are expected to be filed.
