TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Lawyers for the Hakken parents will be in court Thursday morning.

The Hakkens are accused of kidnapping their own children and sparking an international Amber Alert that eventually ended in Cuba.

Joshua and Sharyn Hakken face several charges, including kidnapping, burglary, battery and false imprisonment.

Investigators say they tied up Sharyn's mother, took their two young boys and fled to Cuba on their boat.

The Cuban government sent them back to the United States.

The couple has pleaded not guilty to those charges.

The Hakkens have been behind bars since their arrest in early April. They will not be present for the status hearing.
