Chase leads to arrest in Pasco County

Posted: Updated:
MOON LAKE (FOX 13) -

A robbery and a chase through Pasco County led to an arrest Wednesday.

It started around 6:45 at the Circle K on U.S. 19 and ended at State Road 52 and Moon Lake Road.

That's where deputies used stop sticks to disable the truck, and it flipped over.

Here's what detectives say happened: 29-year-old William Boyd forced a man and a woman to stop at the gas station to get money from an ATM.

The woman told the clerk what was happening while Boyd and the other man were still in the truck.

When deputies tried to stop it, the chase was on.

Witnesses say the truck was driving on the wrong side of the highway at times, and they say the whole thing was crazy.

Boyd was taken into custody.

He's been arrested five other times in Pasco County.

There's no word yet on what charges he faces.
