TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Only about 10 percent of the world is left-handed. A new study on "southpaws" has found some differences in how their brains work.

The "Journal of Traumatic Stress" found lefties have a higher chance of getting post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, and breast cancer. They are also more accident prone.

Lefties do excel in certain areas, such as sports, language, math, and music.

Some famous left-handers include President Obama, former President Clinton, Judy Garland, Ringo Starr, Jerry Seinfeld, Dick van Dyke and even FOX 13's Dave Osterberg.
