Posted: Updated:

Scary moments in the Citrus Park area of Tampa as a fire breaks out and neighbors rush in to help.

Deputies tell us Nancy Lowe and her daughter had made a suicide pact.

Investigators found several suicide notes in their home. Detectives also say the daughter had borrowed gasoline from a neighbor earlier in the day.

Investigators say Nancy's ex-husband and the girl's father became violent with Nancy Thursday, according to the sheriff's office.

James Clarke is charged with aggravated battery and domestic violence.

The Lowe and her daughter have been Baker-Acted.

The fire started around 4:00 p.m. Saturday afternoon at a house on Timber Brook Court.

It apparently started in the garage.

Neighbors say they were playing basketball when they saw the garage door open and noticed a car on fire.

They ran over to help and pulled out a mother and daughter.

They've been identified as Nancy Lowe and Allison Clark.

They are being treated as Tampa General Hospital for smoke inhalation.

They are also being questioned by deputies.

The cause of the fire is not known.
