Sun, Sand, Music and Margaritas

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

A perfect day for volleyball, music and margaritas. You could find them all today at Curtis Hixon Park.

It was the first annual "Tampa Bay Margarita Festival."

There were top shelf margaritas both shaken and stirred. Several bands took to the stage to provide live music and there was even a sand volley ball court set up.

"We thought it would be a good idea to bring some people out to downtown on usually a dead weekend, said Monica Varner one of the events promoters.

While the bands and margaritas were only around for Saturday, the volleyball court will remain at the park through July.
