Investigators have identified two people whose bodies were found in a heavily wooded area of Hernando County over the weekend. They say they were a couple from Dunedin.
Detectives say 66-year-old Michael Jones and 66-year-old Glenna Jones were found in the Chassahowitzka Forest. They say they died from a murder-suicide.
According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the couple's son called 911 after getting a "disturbing" phone call from them late Saturday night.
Deputies went to the home on Dinnerbell Lane, and they were not there. They say they found evidence that Glenna Jones may have been tied up.
Pinellas investigator also said they found evidence the couple was headed to the Chassahowitzka Forest, so they contacted Hernando investigators.
Hernando deputies found them on Sunday.
