A 28-year-old has been arrested in the near-fatal shooting of a Dade City man Sunday night.
Deputies said Carlos Hiracheta Perez fired two shots into the head of an unidentified 24-year-old.
According to the sheriff's office, the two were at a vacant home at 14918 Dade Street around 6. For some reason, Perez fired two shots from a pistol, seriously injuring the man.
Deputies tell us he's in grave condition at an area hospital.
Two witnesses were at the scene apparently wrestled the gun away from Perez, who ran from the scene.
The Pasco County Sheriff's Office said Perez is charged with attempted murder.
