Two men from Pinellas county are accused of forcing more than a dozen women into modern day slavery.
Peter Kitt and Shawn Franklin went before a judge Saturday morning. They were each ordered held on one-million dollars bond.
Investigators say they lured at least 16 women into prostitution.
Authorities say the victims were sent to clients at hotels and motels throughout the bay area. The suspects are accused of beating them, and getting them hooked on drugs.
With the men in custody, State Attorney General Pam Bondi is calling on the victims to come forward.
So far, only three women have been rescued. One helped investigators track down the suspects.
