A Georgia bride has been forced to make a last-minute change to her big day after learning the venue had been shut down.
For more than a year, Danielle Black planned for her wedding, which is set for Saturday in Hall County. But 24 hours before the ceremony, she had to start over from scratch.
"Every girl looks forward to this day and they dream about it," said Black.
On Friday morning, the Double L called to say the wedding was off. The county had shut down the venue and they wouldn't be able to host the ceremony or reception
"I thought, ‘This is supposed to be a time for happy tears not stressed out, what am I going to do tears,'" she said.
"Every parent wants to give their daughter the wedding of their dreams and she has waited so long for this day, and then to have this happen has just been devastating," said Lori Black, the bride's mother.
The Hall County administrator told FOX 5 that they ordered the Double L farm to be shut down back on March 18. He says the farm has never had a business license and doesn't meet fire building or zoning codes
The Double L Farm told FOX 5's Justin Gray that they are sorry for what happened. They refused to answer any questions about why they didn't meet code and why they waited until the day before the wedding to tell Danielle Black.
"I want answers as to why would they wait until today. I would never want this to happen to any young girl," Danielle Black said.
After a mad scramble and search, Danielle did find a venue.. It's small for the 160 guests who are coming, but the wedding will go on.
"It's nothing like what it was supposed to be," Danielle Black said.
This is actually the third time Danielle has had to find a new wedding venue. Their first choice burned down. She said that she's going to try to focus on enjoying her wedding day, and then next week she wants to get answers about why the Double L Farm waited until the day before to cancel her wedding.
