The brutality is unimaginable. The attack was so vicious, the Crime Stoppers reward is being doubled to $10,000.
Here is what happened, according to the Polk County Sheriff's Office: a teen was talking on his cell phone to his girlfriend in a Poinciana neighborhood in eastern Polk County. Two masked gunmen forced him into his house near Puffer Court and Halibut Road. They told him to tie up his dad, then they tied him up.
Just as that was happening, his mom came out of the bathroom after taking a shower. They forced her into another room where they investigators say they raped her -- first one, then the other.
"They spent about 35 to 40 minutes in the house. They found $400 to $500, " explained Polk Sheriff Grady Judd. "But before they left, they did a complete body wash of the victim with bleach."
Then he emphasized it again.
"A complete body wash of the victim with bleach in an effort to hide the evidence," Judd said.
Judd says he hasn't seen a crime this vicious in many, many years.
Investigators are now looking for two men. Both are light-skinned Hispanic makes. One is about 6' 1", 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark khakis, and a gray, hooded, zip-up sweater.
The second man is about 5' 8", 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark jeans and a gray, hooded, zip up sweater. He may go by the name Michael.
"Ladies and gentlemen, it has been years and years and years since we have seen a crime this horrific. we know that somebody has seen something. We have to get these two animals locked up," Judd said.
If anyone has information about the men or the incident, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 226-TIPS.
