SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (myFOXDetroit.com) -

Chief Chester Logan says he plans to retire when the next Detroit Police chief is appointed.

Chief Logan took over the job in October, when Ralph Godbee retired after a sex scandal.

The search for a new chief officially began back in March. One name being tossed around is Cincinnati Police Chief James Craig.
