A 22-year-old Tampa mother faces manslaughter charges in the death of her baby.
The sheriff's office says Sierra McMillan's 7-month-old infant drowned in a bathtub while McMillan left the baby unattended Sunday afternoon.
Deputies say a solicitor showed up to her apartment and said the mother had left the baby in the bathtub with the water running. According to the sheriff's office, McMillan left the infant for about 20 minutes.
The witness said at one point the mother left him at the front door, went to check on the child and came back. He told deputies she had water on her arms and shirt.
Deputies say the child drowned in the bathtub, according to an autopsy report.
Deputies arrested McMillan on Monday afternoon.
