MCDONOUGH, Ga. -

For many fans that wish to fulfill their dreams of racing on asphalt, NASCAR, Formula 1, and Indy car racing may be out of reach. There are some who did not let that stop them, and decided to race the next best thing -- lawn mowers.

Members of the The Georgia Lawn Mower Racing Association will have their opening day race Saturday, April 27. Gates open at 9 a.m., practice at 12 noon, and races start at 1 p.m. at Windy Hill Speedway, 100 Windy Hill Road in McDonough, Georgia.

Admission fee is $2, and all proceeds will go to fund research for juvenile diabetes.

Good Day's Paul Milliken traveled to the track in McDonough to get a preview of the upcoming races!
