After bombing, dance instructor vows to get back on the floor

Posted: Updated:

A ballroom dancer who lost her left foot in the Boston bombing wants to step back on the dance floor again.

Adrianne Haslet-Davis remembers standing four feet away from the second bomb.

The blast knocked her into the air. She says she hit the ground, and when she looked down, part of her foot was gone.

Doctors had no choice but to amputate the rest.

Now, she has big plans after her recovery.

"I absolutely want to dance again and will dance again, and I also want to run the marathon next year. And I have a lot of people that have backed me up and support me, even though I am not a runner at all," she said.

Adrianne is an instructor at the Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Boston.

The Arthur Murray studio in Palm Harbor is holding a fundraiser for her next Tuesday night.

That's when Adrianne will be on Dancing with the Stars.

The fundraiser is at Tiffany's Restaurant on U.S. 19 in Palm Harbor, starting at 9 p.m.
