Many city officials in Romulus have tried to distance themselves from Mayor Alan Lambert following a police raid of his home last month.  They're not the only ones.  You can add Fox 2's Charlie LeDuff to that list, too.

ROMULUS, Mich. (WJBK) -

Romulus' silver-haired fox has tucked his tail between his legs.

Bowing to intense public pressure, embattled Mayor Alan Lambert has removed a photograph on his re-election website that implied that he and FOX 2 reporter Charlie LeDuff were great pals.

No fan of public officials whose homes are raided by state police, LeDuff confronted the mayor in his city hall badger hole Monday and demanded the photo be removed by high-noon Tuesday or else face a prolonged protest and camp-in on city hall property complete with house slippers and bongos.

"I am gratified my voice was heard," said LeDuff. "To me, this issue is dead. However, the state police investigation into Mayor Lambert is ongoing."
