MILFORD, Mich. (WJBK) -

The storms that rolled through metro Detroit on Thursday caused thousands of people to lose power.

The very act of losing power was caught on video tape by the people who manage the Red Dog Saloon in Milford.

Play the video to see some amazing footage and to get a full report from Fox 2's Alexis Wiley.

The staff at the popular bar and restaurant invested in a generator for occasions just like this, but the danger  of the downed power lines forced police to close down Main Street and therefore, no one is able to get to the bar.

With the weekend looming you can bet Perry Sincola and his team at the Red Dog Saloon are anxious to be open for business.
