It's a first-of-its-kind signing day event at Tampa's Blake High School: Two of the school's female basketball players signed college letters of intent.
These types of signing day events are usually reserved for the guys. But it's a big deal for the girls too, so the school decided to hold a special event for them as well.
The girls are excited to continue playing sports at the next level and to get the opportunity to go to college.
"It's a relief because we didn't know how I was going to college," Le'area Wilkerson said. "Now it's settled. It's amazing."
Le'area signed with South Georgia Technical Center, and Deauna Parker signed with the U.S. Army.
