Investigators: 6-Year-Old Accidentally Shot Dies From Injuries

TOMS RIVER, N.J. -

The Ocean County Prosecutor's Office says the 6-year-old boy who was accidentally shot by a 4-year-old Monday night in Toms River has died.

According to myfoxny.com, police were still investigating how the younger child obtained the rifle from his family's home.

The shooting was reported at 6:30 p.m. on Cedar Grove Road Monday night.

The 4-year-old got the rifle from inside his home and shot the 6-year-old from about 15-yards away.
