TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Another smoky day is in store for parts of Florida. Firefighters are battling two large, fast-moving fires in North Port in southern Sarasota County.

Crews from nearby counties have been called in to help, and on the east coast in St. Lucie County, many roads are closed because of the fires.

The Florida Highway Patrol said I-75 had to be shutdown in Collier and Broward County because of poor visibility.

These follow a pretty bad fire this weekend in Hillsborough County. A quick-moving blaze in Ruskin forced FHP troopers to shut down I-75 in that area for several hours Saturday because the fire jumped the interstate.

The fire burned dangerously close to homes, destroying an abandoned trailer and a few abandoned cars.

No one was injured in the fire.
