Polk deputies on lookout for a pair of burglary suspects

LAKELAND (FOX 13) -

Authorities in Polk County are asking for the public's help in tracking down a pair of burglary suspects.

According to a Polk County Sheriff's Office report a man and a woman broke into a residence at 5722 Cherry Tree Dr. in Lakeland just after 1 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators say they were discovered by occupants of the home and fled empty-handed. They did not get a good look at the male but gave deputies a detailed description of the female.

She is described as a white female in her 30s. The suspect has reddish-brown curly hair that extends below the shoulders. She stands between 5'5'' and 5'7'' tall and weighs between 120 and 130 pounds.

Her face is scarred from acne and she was last seen wearing a red/purple shirt with blue jeans.
