A worker fell to his death inside an empty tank at a water treatment facility in St. Petersburg.
The 52-year-old was subcontracted by the city to re-surface the inside of the water tank and apparently fell approximately 30 feet in to the tank.
People at the scene tried to give the man CPR, but he did not survive the fall, officials said. Police say it appears he was not wearing a safety harness.
The plant is off 26th Avenue N near Walter Fuller Park. The view from SkyFOX late this morning showed crews investigating the scene.
The victim worked for Spectrum Contracting out of Naples, investigators said.
