Christie Looking Into DYFS Case Involving Kid With Rifle Photo

TRENTON, N.J. -

Earlier this month, we told you about a Salem County father who bought his son a hunting rifle for his 11th birthday.

The father, Shawn Moore, posted a photo of his son holding the rifle to his Facebook page.

That's when an anonymous tip led to the Department of Youth and Family Services and New Jersey State Police showing up at their door.

Now, Gov. Chris Christie is getting involved and wants the attorney general to look into this case.

FOX 29 News obtained a letter from the attorney general's office. In it, Christie says the case raises "troubling questions concerning the facts and circumstances surrounding the investigation."

In New Jersey, children over 10 are allowed to hunt.
