PHILADELPHIA -

Supporters of marriage equality stood outside of the James A. Byrne Federal Court Building Monday on the eve of the U.S. Supreme Court's hearing of arguments in two historic equality cases.

The supporters listened to several speeches and held a candlelight vigil.

Organizers say the vigil is part of the United for Marriage: Light the Way to Justice Coalition, which is a group made up of LGBT and other organizations who are rallying in Washington, DC and in communities across the country.

The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear two gay marriage cases on Tuesday and Wednesday.
