A Tampa teacher was arrested in a sex sting, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office said Monday.
Philip Kornell, 40, is a social studies/history teacher at Chamberlain High School.
He was one of 35 people arrested in "Operation Green Shepherd II."
In the operation, undercover detectives posed online as 14 year old girls and boys and set up meetings at a house in Manatee County.
When the suspects showed up, they were arrested.
They face a list of charges, including traveling to seduce a child and using a computer to seduce a child.
Hillsborough School District spokesman Steve Hegarty said Kornell has been a teacher at Chamberlain since March of last year.
Hegarty said they do not have reason to believe anything happened with students or staff at the school.
Kornell was sent a letter telling him not to return to work, Hegarty said.
