A Bay area woman conducting a welfare check on her son in Seffner on Sunday afternoon made a gruesome discovery.
The bodies of Joshua Austin Deas and Kenneth V. Simmons were found inside a mobile home they shared at 1014 North Parsons Ave. - Lot 10.
Investigators are calling it a double homicide.
According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office report, deputies were called to the residence around 5:30.
The men appeared to have died from blunt force trauma, deputies said, but an official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner's office.
Deas, 24, is a graduate of Riverview High School. Simmons, 34, graduated from Plant City High School.
Some neighbors are telling us they heard several cars coming in and out of the trailer park around the same time the bodies were found. Some also say they heard gunshots, but deputies aren't confirming anything just yet.
