Stabbing in University of Delaware Lecture Hall

University of Delaware police are investigating a stabbing that took place in the Kirkbridge Lecture Hall on Friday around 2:00pm.

Police tell FOX29 the 20-year-old victim was taken to Christiana Hospital and treated for a minor laceration to the back of her neck. 

The suspect is a 34-year-old female from Boulder, Colorado.  She faces charges of possession of a deadly weapon, second degree assault and second degree trespassing.  She is currently being evaluated for physical and mental health.

At this time, police are unsure if there is a connection between the victim and suspect.  The investigation is on-going.
