ST. PETERSBURG (FOX 13) -
A police chase in St. Petersburg ended in a crash Thursday night that killed one the suspects, authorities said.
It began at the Family Dollar Store on 16th Street North around 8 p.m.
Minutes later, officers spotted the suspects' car and tried to pull them over.
They sped away and crashed into a tree at 15th Avenue South and 40th Street South.
One of the suspects died; the other was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.
