Fire crews are battling a blaze in the Sebring area that they say is threatening homes.
It's burning about 50 acres in East Sebring Hills, according to the Florida Forest Service.
Residents of one house had to be evacuated.
Firefighters have surrounded the other homes to try to protect them from the flames.
Other crews are gathering water from nearby lakes and ponds and dropping them on the fire.
