Ocala police say country music star David Allan Coe was injured in a traffic crash Tuesday morning.
It happened at West Silver Springs Boulevard and Pine Avenue. Investigators say Coe ran a red light and hit a semi-truck carrying two people.
Coe, 73, was in a 2011 Chevy Suburban. He was apparently heading east on Silver Springs Boulevard when he ran through the light. The truck hit his passenger side, sending the Suburban into a nearby parking lot and turning the semi on its side.
All three were taken to the hospital, but officials say they are expected to be OK.
Police had to shut down the area because some diesel fuel spilled into the road and a light pole was damaged in the crash. Charges are pending.
Coe is most famous for his country hits "Would you lay with me (in a field of stone" and "Take this job and shove it." He is from Texas.
His official website says he was north of Daytona Beach this weekend playing a show.
