Polk SO investigators say the suspect broke out a window to the business and made off with over $1,400 worth of cigarettes.
EAGLE LAKE (FOX 13) -
Authorities in Polk County are asking for the public's help in tracking down a suspect who burglarized a gas station/convenience store in Eagle Lake.
The incident occurred just after 3 a.m. at the Chevron location at 558 North 5th St.
According to a Polk County Sheriff's Office report an unknown male broke out the front window of the business to gain access. He entered the store, removed cash from the register and filled up a black garbage bag with over $1,400 worth of cigarettes.
Surveillance video indicates the suspect was wearing dark clothing and had a white mask covering his face. Investigators say he went back out the broken window and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
