Rays fall to Red Sox 6-2

PORT CHARLOTTE (FOX 13) -

Matt Moore looked sharp in his first three innings against the Boston Red Sox. It was the next two-thirds of an inning that got him into trouble as Boston topped the Rays 6-2 on Sunday.

Moore struck out three before surrendering a three-run home-run to David Ross in the fourth inning which gave the Red Sox the lead and they never looked back.

Juan Sandoval also struggled, giving up three runs in an inning and two-thirds work. Sandoval is trying to make the Rays spring roster despite only having vision in one eye.
