Several crews with Tampa Fire Rescue were dispatched to this residence on Amelia Ave. West just after noon on Sunday.
TAMPA (FOX 13) -
A Tampa home was damaged by fire just after noon Sunday.
Fortunately none of the occupants were injured as three adults and four minor children managed to get out prior to the arrival of emergency crews.
According to a Tampa Fire Rescue report several units were dispatched to 113 Amelia Ave. West at approximately 12:20 p.m. When they arrived smoke and flames were visible from the street.
TFR crews had the blaze extinguished within a few minutes. Investigators say the children were in the living room and their mother was taking a shower when they heard a pop on the front porch.
When one of the kids went to investigate they saw flames, went back into the residence and told everyone to get out. The official cause of the fire is not yet known as the investigation continues.
