The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made their first off-season splash, re-signing backup running back LeGarrette Blount and making an offer to defensive back Ronde Barber.
The deal with Blount is for one year, worth up to $1.75 million according to league sources. The agreement is a bargain, considering Blount is just two seasons removed from a 1000 yard season.
Barber is still mulling his options to either retire, return to the Bucs or test the waters in free agency. Barber would be entering his 17th NFL season, all of which for the Bucs, and is just one year removed from making the transition from corner to safety.
