OCALA (FOX 13) -
An attendance clerk at a Marion County high school was arrested Friday after she allegedly sent nude pictures of herself to at least two male students.
Jody Teressa Onorato, 43, is facing two counts of sending harmful material to minors. She was booked into the Marion County Jail and released after posting a bond of $10,000.
The suspect was an employee at Vanguard High School in Ocala. Onorato has since resigned.
According to an Ocala Police Department report a report was filed on Monday alleging Onorato sent the images via text to one former student and a current student at the school.
The younger victim received the nude pictures on his cellular telephone as late as January investigators say. OPD Detective Jorge Fernandez was assigned to the case and conducted controlled phone calls between the suspect and the mothers of the two boys.
Onorato apologized to the mothers for sending the images to their sons. The suspect was interviewed on Friday at OPD headquarters and allegedly confessed to the crimes. She claims she did it for attention.
