Police Investigate Suspicious Death Of Wilmington Woman

WILMINGTON, Del. -

Police in New Castle County, Delaware are investigating the death of a woman who was found dead inside of her Wilmington home earlier this week.

According to police, the 51-year-old woman was discovered just before 5 p.m. Monday inside of her home on the 300 block of Maple Avenue.

Police say they discovered the body when they went to the home for a welfare check.

The woman's identity has not yet been released.
