Anthony arrives for court, shielded by her attorney. For the first time in more than a year, Casey Anthony has come out of hiding, appearing inside a Hillsborough County courtroom.
A judge ordered Anthony to appear in federal court in Tampa for her bankruptcy hearing.
Many more details about her financial situation emerged from the hearing. She said her attorney Jose Baez took "no more than 15 pictures" of her and sold them ABC News for $200,000. That money went toward her legal fees, Anthony said.
She also said she does not have any book or movie deals in the works, but she has not relinquished rights to future deals.
Anthony filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy last month. She said she doesn't have any money, and she owes nearly $800,000 in court costs and attorney fees.
She's also being sued for defamation by Zanaida Gonzalez. Anthony will have to reveal what she's been up to since she was acquitted of killing her daughter in 2011, and who's been supporting her.
In court Monday, Anthony said she wants closure and the delay with the Gonzalez lawsuit "pushed me to pursue bankruptcy now," FOX 13's Gloria Gomez tweeted.
Anthony said she gets donations and gift cards unsolicited from strangers. She said her legal team distributes that money to her.
She said does not pay rent or utilities, and owes attorney Jose Baez $34,000 in living expenses.
Anthony swore to all her statements under oath. If the bankruptcy trustee determines she lied, she will face new charges.
FOX 13's Gloria Gomez will have more at 5 & 6.
