Delaware's attorney general has joined 13 colleagues from other
states in urging the U.S. Supreme Court to declare a California ban on
gay marriage unconstitutional.
Attorney General Beau Biden said Thursday that
Delaware joined in a filing a brief with the Supreme Court siding with
opponents of California's same-sex marriage ban.
Biden said he and other attorneys general will file
another Supreme Court brief on Friday supporting a challenge to the
federal Defense of Marriage Act, which defines marriage as between a man
and a woman in deciding who can receive a range of federal benefits for
married couples.
Biden was joined by members of the gay rights group
Equality Delaware, who vowed that Delaware lawmakers will approve
same-sex marriage in the current legislative session.

After an early high in the upper sixties, temperatures fall & winds pick up out of the chillier northwest. Right now the Memorial Day Weekend looks sunny and cool with highs in the low to mid 60s on Saturday, in the 70s Sunday & Monday. Cooler temps at the shore.
