A manhunt after an armed robbery at a Verizon store ended at a Canton home with three arrests. The suspects may be to blame for a series of armed robberies in the suburbs.
CANTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJBK) -
Three teens accused of committing an armed robbery at a Verizon store in Canton faced a judge Thursday.
A customer told Fox 2's Maurielle Lue what happened Monday morning after a worker locked the door on the robbers.
"The guy with the AK-47, he starts hammering on the glass. That
didn't work, so he takes the rifle and he fires the shot and he breaks
the glass open. They come running in and they start grabbing things,"
said Gerald Soubly.
Eric James-Lee Wilkins of Inkster, Antonio Jerome Porter of Inkster
and Dantez Lamar Boykin-Johnson of Westland were arraigned in 35th
District Court. Charges against the 18-year-olds include armed robbery,
breaking and entering, retail fraud and receiving and concealing stolen
property. They also face weapons charges.
The judge gave each of the suspects a $1 million bond.
