TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Two men convicted of brutally beating a MacDill sergeant off base last May were sentenced to prison Thursday.

Brandon Miller, 19, will spend five years behind bars. Lerome Howard, also 19, got three years.

Last May, they jumped and robbed Sgt. Johnny Aparicio when he was walking home near the base.

It was all caught on surveillance video. For 40 seconds, they punched and kicked him over and over.

Aparicio was left with a broken nose and a missing tooth.

Two other men also involved in the beating will be sentenced soon.
