A 27-year-old Tampa man died early Sunday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash on Erhlich Rd.
Javier Mercado-Cebollero was pronounced dead the scene.
According to a Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office report Mercado-Cebollero was traveling west on his 2005 Suzuki Motorcycle at approximately 3:20 a.m. when the incident occurred.
A 1999 Chevrolet Astro Van driven by Elias Tenorio was pulling out of a driveway just west of Hutchinson Rd. and veered into the path of the motorcycle.
Mercado-Cebollero's bike struck the driver's side of the van. Investigators say Tenorio, a 45-year-old Tampa resident, was attempting to make a left-hand turn.
He was not injured.
The official cause of the crash is not yet known and so far no charges have been filed.
The investigation continues.
