Authorities have made an arrest in an antique store shooting that happened on Thursday in Gloucester County.
"The good Lord protected me. I didn't put this angel in the window for nothing," said store owner Joy Piddleton as she pointed to an angel statue in her store window.
"I said may I help you and she picked the gun up and pointed it right at me," said Piddleton. It was about 230 when Joy looked up from her counter and right into the barrel of a gun. The customer demanded to get back the money she put down on a lay away over a year ago.
"I said we don't do that even though she had the gun pointed right at me," said Joy. But the gun wielding woman wouldn't back down and was willing to risk it all. You won't believe for how much.
"So I gave her 35 dollars, not nicely, I crumbled it up and gave it to her and I pushed the gun out of the way. Yeah I did." Joy said she gave the woman the money plus 20 dollars in interest she demanded and the woman ran off. Joy followed threatening to call police. That's when the customer snapped.
Joy said, "She turned around and shot at me."
The woman sped off in a car. She was found in Pennsylvania and arrested Friday afternoon.
The suspect, Anna Guido of Turnersville, was taken into custody in Prospect Park, PA by Washington Township Police and US Marshals.
Attempted Murder, Robbery, Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Weapon for Unlawful Purposes are among Guido's charges. She will be processed in Pennsylvania pending proceedings for extradition back to New Jersey.
She is held on $350,000 full cash bail.
Washington Township police announced the arrest Friday afternoon.
