CAMDEN COUNTY, N.J. -

Federal investigators say a case of two women trying to pass off fake hundred dollar bills at a Camden County Walmart was not an isolated incident.

Investigators with the United States Secret Service say they're now investigating a counterfeit bill operation throughout the northeast.

The Camden County incident happened at the Cherry Hill Walmart Wednesday when investigators say an employee noticed something missing on the bills used by two women to purchase money orders.

The two women have since been arrested and charged.

Investigators say the fake bills look identical to real hundred dollar bills until you tilt them at an angle. That's when you'll notice the number in the right hand corner doesn't have the color shifting ink that real currency has.

The Secret Service website offers a detailed explanation of what's real and what's fake. You can read more and see examples by clicking here.
