TAMPA (FOX 13) -
It won't come as much of a surprise, but two of the world's best beaches are from right here in the Tampa Bay area, according to Trip Advisor.
They had good things to say about the shores along the Gulf. It ranked Siesta Key Beach in Sarasota at No. 16 in the world and No. 2 in the United States. Hawaii's Ka'anapali Beach took the top spot.
Fort DeSoto Park in Pinellas County also made top 20 in the world and top five in the country.
Other local beaches that were singled out included: Caladesi Island State Park, Passe-A-Grille and Clearwater Beach.
