TAMPA (FOX 13) -
The eastbound lanes of the Courtney Campbell Causeway were closed to traffic late Wednesday night after a motorcycle rear-ended a Florida Highway Patrol cruiser, but have since reopened.
There were two people on the motorcycle. One was killed; the other went to the hospital in critical condition, according to the Tampa Police Department, which was assisting in the crash investigation and traffic control.
The FHP trooper was not injured.
The lanes were closed overnight but opened after a few hours.
