It's always been a challenge for motorists moving between Interstate 4 and the Selmon Crosstown Expressway, but a new connector now under construction will soon make it much easier.
The connector will be part of Florida's Turnpike system and will cost $400 million to compete. It is scheduled to be finished early next year.
Even people who never use the road will still have to pay because the money will come from state, local and federal dollars. The majority of the money comes from gas taxes and user fees, but $87 million is federal stimulus money.
