TAMPA (FOX 13) -
One person is dead and two others were injured in a shooting Tuesday night.
It happened near 22nd Avenue and 29th Street North.
When police arrived, they found one victim dead at the scene, and a second victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. A third victim with minor injuries ran home, and then went to the hospital.
The man who was killed has been identified as 26-year-old Dexter Jermane Gardner. The second is Thomas Causei, police said, and the third is Bertran Sampson.
Tampa police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said the men were hanging out in front of a home when multiple suspects walked up and started shooting.
Detectives were still conducting interviews and gathering evidence at the scene, but they do not believe it was a random act of violence.
