Thieves hit U-Haul trucks

Detectives in both Hillsborough and Polk County are investigating a string of U-Haul truck thefts.

In all, thieves have hit more than 10 at various locations, detectives say, and there are similarities between the crimes.

Each of the trucks was a 26-foot box truck. The models ranged from 2006 to 2010, and the ones in Hillsborough were in the eastern part of the county.
