WILMINGTON, Del. -

Wilmington police arrested a woman who asked a man to share his sandwich and then allegedly attacked him while waiting for a bus to come.

Police said the woman, Shoanetta Gale, walked up to a man eating a sandwich at a bus stop on the 2800 block of Northeast Boulevard Saturday and asked him to share it. She then pulled out a .22 caliber handgun, pointed it at the man and demanded money, police said.

When the man said he could not give Gale any money, police said she hit the man on the head with the gun, then stood at the stop to wait for the bus.

Police said two officers noticed the victim as they drove by the area. The man's head was bleeding and he told the officers he was robbed.

Police then arrested Gale for robbery while she was at the bus stop. Police said Gale is a convicted felon and drug offender.

Gale was taken to a women's correctional institution.
